I had a fantastic first experience with the Global Teacher program in Nepal! The organisation was thoughtful and supportive from start to finish—providing clear communication, helpful resources, and genuine care for participants. The days were well-structured yet flexible, and I loved the balance of adventure, cultural immersion, and work in schools. The team cultivated a welcoming environment where everyone’s strengths were valued, and the focus on personal connection made a real difference. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an inspiring, purposeful travel and teaching experience!

The collaboration with local educators was inspiring, their dedication despite limited resources was humbling, and the professional learning exchange was both powerful and purposeful.

I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Nepal with Global Teachers, and it was genuinely one of the most enriching and eye-opening experiences of my teaching career. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and generosity from the local teachers, students, and communities. The program was thoughtfully organised, allowing us to immerse ourselves in Nepalese culture while sharing evidence-based teaching strategies, including Explicit Direct Instruction and the Gradual Release Model. The collaboration with local educators was inspiring, their dedication despite limited resources was humbling, and the professional learning exchange was both powerful and purposeful. Beyond the classroom, the cultural experiences were unforgettable. From morning assemblies filled with music and gratitude, to breathtaking views of the Himalayas, and local market visits that gave us a true taste of daily life in Nepal, every moment was meaningful. This program does more than broaden your teaching practice, it broadens your heart. I came home with a deeper sense of global perspective, a renewed appreciation for education, and memories that will last a lifetime. If you are an educator looking to make a real impact while growing professionally and personally, I cannot recommend Global Teachers highly enough. It is more than a trip, it is a transformational journey.

For years I had been searching for a program that allowed me to travel overseas and donate my time, teacher knowledge and experience - Global Teacher ticked all those boxes! I was reassured as it was a local (Brisbane) program implemented by a global-minded teacher who recognised the need for professional exchange in developing countries. From the time I applied, to the end of the experience, I was completely reassured by the organisation of the program and was professionally supported the entire way through. We were grateful for the close in-country partnership with Bali Children Foundation and local schools and were humbled by the warm welcome we received in Bali from the local teachers and children. What an amazing experience! The accommodation was first class and allowed us to relax and bond as professionals during our teaching week. The professional development day was an exciting end to the week and we received much positive feedback from the local teachers and all organisations involved. I truly feel that Global Teacher makes a difference. I have made some close continuing professional partnerships and friendships and feel that Global Teacher has once again ignited my love of teaching and learning. Thank you Global Teacher!

It was an amazing professional experience — not only did I get to share my teaching practice, but I also learned so much from the passionate and dedicated educators we met.

I had the incredible opportunity to travel with Global Travel in the Philippines, where I joined a group of knowledgeable teachers from across Australia to deliver a workshop for local Filipino teachers. It was an amazing professional experience — not only did I get to share my teaching practice, but I also learned so much from the passionate and dedicated educators we met. Connecting with local students and teachers gave me a deeper understanding of the culture, and exploring Intramuros was truly special. Beyond the classroom, the itinerary was filled with unforgettable activities — whale shark diving, breathtaking waterfalls, and snorkelling around stunning remote islands. This trip perfectly balanced meaningful professional exchange with cultural immersion and adventure. I’d highly recommend it to any educator or traveller looking for a unique and enriching experience. 10/10 — A trip I’ll remember for a lifetime.

For me personally, I was humbled by the opportunity to work with students, teachers and school leaders. My highlight was the full day professional learning workshop we had the opportunity to run for the Vanuatu teachers.

One of the best professional development programs you can ever undertake. The organisation from start to finish was professional and supportive all the participants to maximise their experiecne while in Vanuatu. For me personally, I was humbled by the opportunity to work with students, teachers and school leaders. My highlight was the full day professional learning workshop we had the opportunity to run for the Vanuatu teachers. The Vanuatu teachers were so responsive and I had a ball. I hope to go back in the near future.

I feel so privileged to have been invited to teach in the schools, and get to know Bali a different way. The kids were amazing, the Balinese teachers were passionate and friendly, and the Aussie teachers who joined me were knowledgeable, fun, and equally as passionate.

What an amazing 9 days I experienced teaching and learning in Lovina. Though I’d done a lot of overseas travel, I’d always avoided Bali because I didn’t want to be another Australian being a tourist in Bali. I wanted an immersive experience, and Global Teacher was perfect. I feel so privileged to have been invited to teach in the schools, and get to know Bali a different way. The kids were amazing, the Balinese teachers were passionate and friendly, and the Aussie teachers who joined me were knowledgeable, fun, and equally as passionate. I would highly recommend this to any teacher who embraces growth, collaboration, learning, and culture. I’m definitely doing it again. Thank you, Global Teacher, amazing Team Leader Ilana, and fellow teachers, Brooke, David, and Jodie.

Working alongside local English teachers in Labuan Bajo was a privilege and incredibly fulfilling, as was interacting with the keen, appreciative students, learning about cultural sensitivities and traditions.

Global Teacher Komodo was a deeply humbling and rewarding experience. I was lucky enough to share this with a fantastic group of passionate, fun and generous teachers who are committed to personal development and making a genuine difference. Many friendships and bonds were made, making this trip very special. Schools were so welcoming and supportive. Working alongside local English teachers in Labuan Bajo was a privilege and incredibly fulfilling, as was interacting with the keen, appreciative students, learning about cultural sensitivities and traditions. Our professional development workshops were very well received and I loved sharing "Mindfulness and Wellbeing" with my partner teacher. The cultural excursions were outstanding, from visiting Komodo National Park to spending the night on a traditional boat enjoying snorkelling, trekking Padar Island, and sailing around stunning scenery. Thanks to Mike, Nathan and Nefi for their sterling efforts to support us throughout. I can't recommend this program highly enough for any educator who loves travelling and connecting with culture.

If you love teaching and travelling this is the perfect combination! This experience allowed me to share my professional knowledge with beautiful Balinese children and their welcoming local teachers.

2022-2023 Bali~Vanuatu I have loved every minute of both my Lovina, Bali and my Port Vila, Vanuatu Global Teachers experiences. Combining my love of teaching and my love of travelling is the experience I have been chasing for many years. I have found that after each trip, I have come back to my classroom more fulfilled, refreshed and open minded. When I return home to my classes and my colleagues I have more knowledge, real world experience and passion to share. I can not express in words how valuable this program is to Aussie teachers. You leave thinking you have so much to teach and return realising you have so much to learn. Stop thinking and just do it! There’s no catch- It’s a win win. ✈️🌺🥰🙌

The Global Teacher program allows you to gain real insight into the education system in Bali. You interact and work closely with the very sweet and warm Balinese teachers and students within the school setting with the aim of providing and gaining PL experience.

The Global Teacher program allows you to gain real insight into the education system in Bali. You interact and work closely with the very sweet and warm Balinese teachers and students within the school setting with the aim of providing and gaining PL experience. During the program we stayed in the most beautiful villa imaginable on a remote mountain close to the schools. There was time each day after the school visit for swimming and relaxing by the the pool. The villa's very own Balinese cooks served us meals twice a day which were divine. A choice of excursions to see more of Bali were included. White water rafting in the jungle was so much fun and we even saw some monkeys on the river bank playing and paddling. We also visited a stunning waterfall where we were able to have a refreshing swim at the bottom. I would recommend this program to any teacher who loves adventure, luxury and helping others.

My school experience was something that will live with me forever. Staff and students were so welcoming and they encouraged and included me each and every day in their school routines.

I had a most enjoyable trip and experience on the October Phillipines 2026 Global Teacher Experience. All my queries were addressed before travel. During my travel and teaching experiences I had knowledgeable and helpful drivers, tour guides and the most amazing group leader in Clare Rice. Accomodation and cultural experiences were beyond what I had possibly imagined and far exceeded my expectations. The trip was excellent value for its cost. Motels were clean, tidy and of appropriate quality. My school experience was something that will live with me forever. Staff and students were so welcoming and they encouraged and included me each and every day in their school routines. Thankyou for a relaxing and enjoyable cultural and educational experience.

The placement was very welcoming with amazing teachers and children benefiting from a caring environment. I was most nervous about the PD day but had sufficient time to prepare during the week and it ran smoothly.

I recently returned from the Global Teacher experience in Lovina, Bali. If you're thinking about going, I highly recommend it. I mostly enjoyed connecting with many people that I wouldn't have met otherwise. I'm still running through the amazing conversations I was a part of and the eye opening moments throughout the time there. The placement was very welcoming with amazing teachers and children benefiting from a caring environment. I was most nervous about the PD day but had sufficient time to prepare during the week and it ran smoothly. This program had just the right mix of professional development and extra activities.

To see how fellow educators practice their craft (both those from Australia and those in the local setting) was a great learning experience for me. As a believer that we need to be lifelong students, going to a new environment stretches you and this experience is a powerful teacher.

This was my first experience with Global Teacher (to Vanuatu) and without a doubt it has a had a big impact on my life. To see how fellow educators practice their craft (both those from Australia and those in the local setting) was a great learning experience for me. As a believer that we need to be lifelong students, going to a new environment stretches you and this experience is a powerful teacher. I have a greater appreciation of how many resources we actually have at our finger tips (though often don't realise or acknowledge how privileged we are) and the power of teaching with minimum resources and being flexible. While the local teachers appreciated receiving resources and being encouraged to expand their skills, they too had a lot to offer us. Their ability to be creative and productive, with what many of us might deem as out of date or inadequate, was evident in their enthusiasm and commitment to do their best with what they had. Meeting the children was a highlight. How happy they were with life in general and so excited to see us return each day - it just melted your heart. How I wish children in Australia could see what can be achieved with little, and then I turn learn to be more content with less. Watching the children here play, engage, and be excited to be at school was a joy to see. There is also a lot to be learnt about being flexible, non judgemental, open to change, and not tied to a time schedule or clock/watch. The preparation, communication and direction/guidance of the leadership, pre-trip and while we were there was fantastic. Sheridan and Ilana lead us with confidence, flexibility and inclusively. They, along with Mike, did much behind the scene work, negotiating with departmental officials, local schools, principals and staff with patience and integrity. When Ilana needed to return home due to illness, Sheridan stepped up even more to carry the responsibilities on her own, and was diligent in communicating what needed to be done and when. One cannot ignore that the program also gave time to enjoy many of the delights of the country. We were free to select additional adventures on our own, or with others, depending on who was interested, available and game to totally push yourself outside your comfort zone. As a group, we often chose to do things together, either as a whole group or smaller groups, but for those needing some space for themselves, that was also available. It is my intention to join another team, be it returning to Vanuatu and/or another country. I would highly recommend for all teachers to consider signing up for a Global Teacher experience, so well planned and executed by Mike Stanley and his team of dedicated and well organised leaders.

Being in the classroom was a delight, and it was fantastic to share skills with others. The professional development session was well-attended, and the teachers were incredibly appreciative.

I had the joy of attending a global teacher trip in April 2024 to Lovina, Bali. Lovina is a beautiful destination! While it takes a bit of a drive to get there, it’s absolutely worth the journey. The accommodation was fantastic, and the food was equally impressive. The atmosphere was friendly and collegial, making the entire trip enjoyable. Being in the classroom was a delight, and it was fantastic to share skills with others. The professional development session was well-attended, and the teachers were incredibly appreciative. The experience was truly amazing, with everything well-organised before, during, and after the experience. Mike provided excellent support throughout the entire experience. Overall, it was a highly fulfilling and memorable experience.I would definitely recommend it to others!

I loved my time teaching in Vanuatu with Global Teacher. The program gave me the opportunity to teach and travel and learn a lot about my self- both personally and professionally. The Global Teachers that travelled to Vanuatu with me are an inspiration and so passionate. We had a lot of fun too- it was a great mix of work and holiday. The students and co-teachers were also amazing- I can see why Vanuatu has kept its ranking as one of the happiest places on Earth. My only wish would be to have more time- 10 days is just not enough!

Our recent teaching trip to the Philippines with Global Teachers was an incredible and enriching experience. The opportunity to engage with local communities and contribute to education in meaningful ways was truly rewarding.

Our recent teaching trip to the Philippines with Global Teachers was an incredible and enriching experience. The opportunity to engage with local communities and contribute to education in meaningful ways was truly rewarding. A special mention must be made of our team leader, Claire. She was simply amazing throughout the entire trip, consistently going above and beyond to provide personal care and support to every team member. Claire’s dedication, compassion, and exceptional leadership created a positive and inclusive environment that made our work more effective and enjoyable. Her attention to detail and genuine concern for our wellbeing ensured that we could focus fully on our teaching responsibilities while feeling supported every step of the way. Claire’s ability to manage challenges with grace and positivity made a significant difference to the success of our trip. Overall, this teaching trip was a wonderful opportunity for professional growth and cultural exchange, greatly enhanced by Claire's outstanding leadership. We have already decided on our next trip and have eqcruited two more collegues- bring on Thailand 2028

The children and teachers alike enjoyed the mutual learning experience. Delivering the workshops to local teachers was also a highlight. They were such willing participants who embraced the hands on learning strategies.

Global Teacher was an amazing program that was incredibly well organised. Full support was offered in the lead up and during the trip to ensure a smooth program. The Thai program was hosted at the amazing EcoLogic Thailand which supports the phenomenal Thai Child Development Foundation. The hospitality was astounding. The schools we worked at were warm and welcoming. The children and teachers alike enjoyed the mutual learning experience. Delivering the workshops to local teachers was also a highlight. They were such willing participants who embraced the hands on learning strategies. The local excursions to conclude the program was a fun way to continue building connections in the group and sight see around new areas. The perfect mix of fun and relaxation! 100% would recommend to a friend and will be participating in another program in the near future. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The recent Global Teacher Program in Vanuatu was incredible. The Program was designed well and allowed for amazing opportunities to engage with local schools, teachers, and culture.

The recent Global Teacher Program in Vanuatu was incredible. The Program was designed well and allowed for amazing opportunities to engage with local schools, teachers, and culture. It was easy to access what we needed to in Port Vila and we very well supported by Jo Little, our Global Teacher facilitator; she was incredible in ensuring that from our arrival, we were safe and informed about our day-to-day activities! I would highly recommend this opportunity to any teacher considering it: I can't wait to engage in future Programs myself!

It was fabulous to see the openmindness and appreciation from the Filipino teachers in sharing their classroom, methods of teaching and their gratitude for us to spend the time to work alongside them.

It was a surreal, amazing trip with a great bunch of people. Could not have faulted Clare out trip leader who went above and beyond sharing her expertise, knowledge of the local area and generosity the entire trip. It was fabulous to see the openmindness and appreciation from the Filipino teachers in sharing their classroom, methods of teaching and their gratitude for us to spend the time to work alongside them. The entire trip was planned beautifully and I would certainly recommend it to any other teacher who is wanting to further themselves in their career. Thanks again Mike and Clare

As a teacher, I returned to my classroom feeling reinspired and energised, equipped with new tools and perspectives to bring into my teaching practice. I’m already looking forward to my next trip with Global Teacher!

I was fortunate enough to join Global Teacher in Bali in April 2025, and the entire experience was incredibly rewarding. From start to finish, I felt supported every step of the way. What makes this program truly unique is its meaningful focus on collaboration—offering educators the chance to genuinely support local teachers and schools. It’s an approach I haven’t seen offered by other teacher tours. Right from the application process, the Global Teacher team was responsive, helpful, and thoughtful. The team leader and program facilitator were always available to answer questions and provide guidance, creating a sense of confidence and connection before and during the trip. Every element of the program was of an exceptionally high standard—from the beautiful accommodation and delicious meals to the thoughtfully planned excursions that created lasting memories. As a teacher, I returned to my classroom feeling reinspired and energised, equipped with new tools and perspectives to bring into my teaching practice. I’m already looking forward to my next trip with Global Teacher!

For many years I volunteered and taught teachers in Haiti, but due to political unrest I was no longer able to travel and work there. While searching for other opportunities to volunteer I came across Global Teacher’s website – and I’m glad I did.

For many years I volunteered and taught teachers in Haiti, but due to political unrest I was no longer able to travel and work there. While searching for other opportunities to volunteer I came across Global Teacher’s website – and I’m glad I did. The Global Teacher program not only provides a wonderful opportunity for professional development, but it is also an excellent way to give back. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience teaching and learning in Lembongan, Bali, Indonesia. Coming from Canada, it was rewarding getting to work alongside colleagues from Australia and Indonesia and working with the keen and respectful students. Excursions during our free time allowed us to take in the Balinese culture and countryside; highlights included visiting beaches, driving up into the mountains, and learning from artisans. Another highlight was simply living in a local community and getting to experience firsthand everyday life in Bali. I highly recommend signing up for one of the programs Global Teacher offers – your teaching practice will be enriched, and your heart will be fulfilled!!!

The staff at the school we visited were very welcoming and accommodating, as were the students. It was lovely to be able to share ideas and skills with each other. Being able to manage a classroom with limited resources is a skill to be respected.

We had an awesome time, discovered many differences and similarities between our educational systems and learned about our own priorities. Our team leader was an amazing person who knew the language and culture of the Philippines, thus enhancing our trip. Her knowledge of Filippino food was second to none and she shared this knowledge with our team, thoroughly immersing us in the experience. We shared many delicious feasts during our stay in the Philippines (but I do not need to eat sisig again!) She was very supportive when some of our group became ill, finding solutions to make us well again. I am not sure when she managed to sleep! The staff at the school we visited were very welcoming and accommodating, as were the students. It was lovely to be able to share ideas and skills with each other. Being able to manage a classroom with limited resources is a skill to be respected. We all enjoyed the social events with the students and staff, learning about their lives and priorities prompts a rethink of our own lifestyle and the things that are important to us. Our accommodation in Manila and in Cebu was lovely with staff that bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. A trip of a lifetime!

The group I travelled with was fantastic. We quickly developed strong friendships and a genuine team spirit that made the experience even more enjoyable. Our team leaders were exceptional—highly supportive, flexible, and committed to ensuring the program ran smoothly, even when plans needed to adapt. The organised activities and excursions added a wonderful balance of cultural immersion, sight-seeing and relaxation, giving us a deeper appreciation of Vanuatu and its people. I highly recommend this program to teachers at any stage of their career. Whether you're early in your teaching journey or well established, the insights, experiences, and connections you’ll gain are absolutely invaluable.

Through this program I did not only teach the students, but they taught me. The Balinese are some of the most welcoming, caring and kind people and you could really feel this within the school and in the community.

I can't thank Global Teachers enough for giving me this immersive experience and putting it into words is hard as it exceeded my expectations. Through this program I did not only teach the students, but they taught me. The Balinese are some of the most welcoming, caring and kind people and you could really feel this within the school and in the community. This enriching experience was not only felt in the classroom but on the excursions where we got to enjoy the beauty of Bali and engage in some cultural activities including: waterfalls, dolphin tour, snorkeling, Bengkala village, basket weaving and a tour of the monkey forest. I thoroughly enjoyed planning and presenting the PD to the local teachers who were so passionate and dedicated to learn from us. From all the professional conversations, I have left this experience with some new life long friends, amazing memories, a full heart, deeper understanding of the Balinese culture, inspired and so ready to use all my new found knowledge, passion and inspiration to take on the 2023 school year. A massive thankyou to our amazing leader Ilana Blazevic and the other teachers who made this trip even more memorable, fun and educational through your dedication, passion, fun and laughter. David Bateman Seaneen Watts Jodie Maher 🙂

It was a chance to learn, grow, connect, and gain new perspectives that I will carry with me both personally and professionally. I’m returning feeling inspired, grateful, and motivated, with memories and experiences I will cherish for a long time.

My trip to the Philippines was an absolutely amazing and unforgettable experience! I feel incredibly grateful to have been part of such a wonderful opportunity, surrounded by Clare, our amazing team leader and passionate, dedicated educators who genuinely care about making a difference. I’m also incredibly thankful to Mike who genuinely values education and invests in providing opportunities like this. This trip was so much more than an opportunity to travel. It was a chance to learn, grow, connect, and gain new perspectives that I will carry with me both personally and professionally. I’ve always wanted to teach and travel in Asia, but never knew how to go about it. So grateful I found Global Teacher as I had everything organised for me from airport transfers, accommodation, school visits, daily drop offs and pick ups, excursions around the island and most meals! Loved every minute of it! The opportunity to present PD to local teachers in Indonesia was also a very rewarding experience that wouldn’t have been possible without Global Teacher!

I had an amazing time working alongside local teachers in a junior high school. The students and staff were delightful and so welcoming. The teachers were very open to new ideas and strategies that were introduced through team teaching and modelled teaching.

The Global Teacher Bali Program provides a unique opportunity to combine travel and teaching, and see a side of Bali that most people would never get to experience. I had an amazing time working alongside local teachers in a junior high school. The students and staff were delightful and so welcoming. The teachers were very open to new ideas and strategies that were introduced through team teaching and modelled teaching. Spending time in the school and seeing the way that teachers taught and interacted with their classes helped to create a tailored professional development session that was meaningful and beneficial to the local teachers. Professional conversations with the Global Teacher team were also very insightful and beneficial to creating a successful PD session. Our accommodation and meals were first class for the entire program. There was plenty of space for working, relaxing, and getting to know our amazing team of Australian teachers who took part in this program. I have made the most wonderful new friendships and professional partnerships with the Global Teacher team and with local Balinese teachers. If I was asked to take this opportunity again, I would do it in a heartbeat. This is a wonderful program that is beneficial to Indonesian teachers and students, and to my own teaching practice.

Through our involvement with the school we witnessed the enthusiasm towards learning by both the teachers and the students of the Philippines. We were treated with such kindness and felt so involved in school life.

We had the most magnificent experience in the Philippines with Global Teacher. We were privileged to spend time with the most incredible students and teachers at OzPhil in Manilla. Through our involvement with the school we witnessed the enthusiasm towards learning by both the teachers and the students of the Philippines. We were treated with such kindness and felt so involved in school life. A life changing experience where not only did we learn the value of education in the Philippines but thanks to our tour leader and her extensive network of generous local people, we were able to immerse ourselves in local customs and life. Our trip ending in Cebu, swimming with the whale sharks was a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you Claire and Mike and Global Teacher for a wonderful and memorable time.

I had access to the best Accommodation, transport, food and sightseeing, which were all organised ahead of time, As well as pick up from the airport and drop off. Also, daily debriefing and, most importantly, respect among the team members; it was terrific. I felt like I had known them years ago. What an amazing opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture of another country and see how teaching and learning occurs in another part of the world. I have made friendships and memories that will last a lifetime and it was only made possible by the vision, dedication and hard work of Global Teacher. The passion, energy and enthusiasm for education by both the teachers and students in Bali is inspiring. I loved spending time at the schools and the teachers were so open and welcoming, allowing me to feel comfortable and learn so much from them. After a busy week in the classroom and a very successful Professional Development day, we were able to relax and unwind doing a range of activities including cruising with dolphins, visiting the most beautiful waterfall, white water rafting and playing with the monkeys at the Monkey Forest. I hope to have many more of these amazing experiences in the future, combining my passion for education, travel and culture.

I recently attended the Global Teacher Philippines Program. Engaging with local schools and teachers was such a rewarding experience. Traveling with fellow teachers who share a passion for learning fostered a wonderfully supportive and enriching environment. It was a truly a unique cultural adventure and was a chance to make a positive impact with multiple opportunities for personal growth. The Professional Development sessions at the end of the school week to local teachers was so much fun. It was great way to share diverse perspectives and teaching methods and to exchange a range of educational practices and ideas. All transport was provided with daily breakfast and most dinners included. After school activities were also provided which ranged from historical tours and swimming with whale sharks! Thank you Global Teacher for getting me out of my teacher comfort zone! My bucket is very full!

Like most of us we look for ways we can travel and experience new cultures within our profession . Global Teachers did exactly that for me . A week of co- teaching in a primary school in different classes, engaging with teachers and students in and out of the classrooms. Experiences with their culture and how they learn , teach and play amongst themselves were the best part of the experience. Each accomodation that we were staying at have the best warm welcome and made us a part of a family. The adventures that we took as a group to the waterfalls, the daily debriefs and most of the all the new teacher friends that I have made in this program I will cherish for life ❤️ ♥️ I would definitely recommend anyone to take part of this experience and I would definitely do this again if offered. Thank you Global Teachers for this experience .

I would thoroughly recommend the Global Teacher Training program. Global Teachers provided a thoughtful, responsive and organised experience, leading up to and throughout the journey. The immersive experience was the right balance of planning, teaching, culture and fun. The people I met, the discussion, collaboration and laughs will stay with me always. I was very impressed with the standard of accommodation, food and the personal service provided by the staff at our villa. We were well and truly looked after. Overall, this program is a remarkable, life-changing and inspiring experience which has reinvigorated me and provided the perfect start to another year.
