Itinerary
Meet the Global Teacher team at Techo International Airport (KTI) or the designated central Phnom Penh meeting point, for the group journey to Kampong Cham. Travel by private transport to Kampong Cham and settle into accommodation, with time to settle in and explore the riverside surroundings before a welcome dinner and program orientation. Participants arriving earlier arrange their own Phnom Penh accommodation and simply meet the group at the designated point.
Four days of educational support and professional exchange across local schools and OBT — observing education in practice, engaging with students and educators, collaborating on learning activities and sharing professional knowledge and experience. The program stays responsive to the needs of our Cambodian partners, with the exact mix of school and OBT activities developed collaboratively before arrival. On Day 5 the group moves from Kampong Cham into traditional community accommodation at OBT in Chiro Village.
Continue the professional exchange alongside OBT educators and students while experiencing life within the local community. The group also works together in preparation for the following morning’s professional development workshop. This is the second night of traditional community accommodation at OBT.
Come together with Cambodian educators for a morning of collaborative professional learning and exchange, followed by lunch. Afterwards, travel by private transport to Siem Reap and settle into Siem Reap for three nights. Evening at leisure.
A full guided day exploring the Angkor Archaeological Park, one of the world’s great cultural and archaeological landscapes, taking in Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Bayon, and Ta Prohm.
Swap temples for jungle on a full-day excursion to Phnom Kulen National Park — Cambodia’s sacred mountain landscape, cultural and spiritual sites, forest and waterfalls. Return to Siem Reap for the final evening and a farewell dinner.
The journey returns from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh by road. The outline concludes in Phnom Penh; onward flight and transfer arrangements belong to the confirmed departure information.

Professional Learning
Learn from Cambodian school and community settings, exchange teaching approaches and develop a collaborative workshop. Guided reflection connects the experience with your own classroom practice.
Five days of school and community exchange with OBT and local schools are supported by professional debriefs. Educators prepare a collaborative workshop and reflect on how their learning can inform their own practice.
The published 50-hour framework includes preparation before travel, the school and community exchange, structured debriefs, workshop preparation and delivery, and final reflection. The 30-hour exchange component combines contact time with debriefs; it is not a claim of 30 classroom-contact hours.
Travel, meal breaks, sightseeing, leisure and recreational activities are excluded. APST references in the learning material describe alignment, not accreditation or assessed attainment; completion is documented through Global Teacher’s certificate of completion.

The published learning brochure allocates six workshop hours and calls it a full-day workshop; the reviewed itinerary has a morning workshop followed by lunch and transfer to Siem Reap. The 50-hour total is reproduced as the published learning framework, not a new promise about Day 7 timing. Director/program team must reconcile the allocation before departure-specific confirmation.
